Happy Daisies (Pre-K) Staff

The Pre-K’s enjoy a longer circle time in the mornings talking about the month and day of the week, weather and other subjects. We have interesting conversations about all sorts of things during our circle time! We enjoy small group work to learn kindergarten readiness skills. We learn to write our names! We like to do multi-step art projects along with free art expression. We display our beautiful art work! We play outside, read stories and we love to build things with legos and blocks. We continue to work on self-help skills and enjoy science, pre-math games, measuring projects, and water play. We enjoy free play in the different centers in our classroom. We discover new things in a challenging, exciting environment. Recently we helped divide our spider plant and moved the new pieces to cups of dirt so we have lots of new spider plants! We also love to cook, role play, read stories, dance, run and climb outside…and lots of other things! We love field trips, too!

7:30-9:30	a.m. centers
9:30-9:45	clean-up, jobs, bathroom
9:45-10	a.m. circle (calendar, weather and show and share)
10-10:30	arts
10:30-11	gross motor skills(inside or outside)
11-11:15	bathroom, wash hands
11:15-11:45	lunch
11:45-12	brush teeth, books and puzzles
12-12:20	stories
12:20-12:30	bathroom
12:30-2:30	nap
2:30-2:45	make cots, bathroom
2:45-3	p.m. circle (songs and story)
3-3:30	snacks
3:30-4	p.m. centers
4-5	gross motor skills
5-5:30	free choice centers
5:30-5:45	clean-up, books and puzzles

Every Happy Daisy Needs:

• Toothbrush
• Change of clothing (complete and weather appropriate)
• Sheet/blanket every week (launder over week-end)
• Gloves, hat, boots, sunscreen, etc. (seasonally)
• Family pictures (very important)
• Box of tissues every 3 months
