Our Wildflowers enjoy art, cooking projects, science experiences and discovery play of all kinds. They spend time outside each day and are learning some beginning self-help skills. We have story and song circles and we even go on a few local field trips.

To make the Wildflower Room run smoothly with maximum time for fun and play we ask that you please provide the following things for your child:

• Tissues and wipes monthly
• Toothbrush
• Sheet and blanket for nap time (crib sheets work well)
• Diapers (we will let you know when to bring more)
• Family photo
• Picture of your child
• Season appropriate change of clothing

Toddler Daily Schedule

7:30-8:00-Good morning! Free choice manipulative play with opportunities for fine and gross motor building and social interaction with peers and staff

8:00-9:00-Breakfast and rotation of play and discovery materials

9:00-10:00-Diapers, breakfast clean-up and practice of self help skills (washing hands and faces). Free choice and teacher directed exploration

10:00-11:00-Outside time or rainy day alternate activity (music, texture/sensory experiences with scarves or hoops and musical instruments or tumbling). Art and science/discovery happen during this time as well

11:00-11:30-Self help skills, singing circle and lunch

11:30-12:15-diapers, self help skills (washing and brushing teeth), clean up and story time.

12:15-2:30-Nap time

2:30-3:00-Wake up, diapers and soft quiet activities (dolls, soft blocks, puppets and books)

3:00-3:30-Snack and social interaction

3:30-4:00-Art and discovery play

4:00-4:30-Diapers and clean-up

4:30-5:30-Gross motor outside play or alternate activity, clean-up, story times or dancing and Good-bye!
